ALTIMA 3rd single + A-nation performance

It was just announced that ALTIMA will be releasing their 3rd single on July 25 titled Burst the Gravity. This song will be the new ending opening song for the anime Accel World.

It was also announced on avex’s official a-nation website that ALTIMA will be performing at ANISON GENERATION stage at Yoyogi Daichi on August 5. ANISON GENERATION is part of a-nation’s music week this year. I’ve been keeping an eye on the a-nation site for a few days now, hoping that either fripSide and/or ALTIMA would be announced as a performer!!

Summer’s almost here…

I have nothing to update, but I just wanted to say I didn’t forget about this place. fripSide is just awfully quiet at the moment.

spoon’s release is this week (the unit made up of the girls who won the LisAni audition) and the new Fortissimo is supposed to finally come out next month. Sat mentioned on Twitter not too long ago that he was making new songs, but he didn’t say for who or what ^^;

Hoping for some new fripSide soon!! I miss the Sat+Nanjo pair.

Niconico Super Party

I feel like it’s been forever since we’ve had fripSide news! Things have been silent since PC game compilation, and now we are getting a live performance! Quick and fast details:

Niconico ChoParty. Two nights of live performances of various artists and talents.
April 28+29. fripSide will perform on the 29th.
Day 2 starts 4PM JST

A virtual ticket must be bought -> Ticket Prices

The virtual ticket, after you buy, will give you a serial number. You input the serial number at the concert viewing page.
The ticket for Day 2 costs 1500 points. You must buy the points first, then use them to get the serial number.
I found a good guide to buying points in this post on Dreamwidth. It can be done if you don’t live in Japan.

The concert can be “time shifted”, so if it’s going to be 5am where you live, you’ll be able to reserve it for later viewing. Usually, free account holders will only have 7 days to view after the original broadcast. The page says the concert will be available to watch on time shift until December 31, 2013, but I assume this is only for premium members.

You probably heard already, but Sat’s is involved in a new song of KOTOKO. The song is called →unfinished→, composed&arranged by Satoshi Yaginuma. The single will be out May 16. It is the ending theme of the anime Accel World. I’m also personally interested in the coupling song sakura no ame moegi no yo as it’s composed & arranged by Shinya Saito. I’ve come to like the songs he is involved with.

ALTIMA’s 2nd single debuted on Oricon weekly at #27 for first week with 3,767 sold.

Sorry for my lack of presence here lately. Though fripSide has been quiet, I did want to update about ALTIMA since the new single is about to come this week! Stuff like, their performances from LisAni and Animax (was it Animax?) airing on TV, new covers, etc.. However, I feel a little better not doing so knowing that my main focus is fripSide ^^; Anyway, I am slow replying to comments and working on pages because of some personal things. But I’ve found some time to at least write this up.

As the title suggests…
The other day, something came into my possession by total surprise!

Colorless fate -ver.Luna 2011-

There are some differences in this version than the original. Just like the lyrics of bright days -version2005- are different than bright days. Also, when I ripped this album to my computer, this song was marked as a ‘nao’ song and not ‘fripSide’.

The lyric changes also apply to the ‘erica demo version’, except the pre-chorus is the “ano toki ni…” section.

[Blog-related] A short poll about a community

This post has nothing to do with fripSide news or releases. I would like to ask visitors and fellow fans something!!!

Do you want a community where you can share fripSide everything??

I’ve been thinking about this a long, long time.

February will mark 10 years since fripSide was established and their first song, Love to sing. That’s a really long time!

In these 10 years, there has not been a community for fripSide in English. Nothing I’ve seen so far I would call a community. The deal with the LJ comm: long story short,  LiveJournal is not my ideal place anymore.

I’m looking for something where we can all post about fripSide. It’s not just me, it’s not just news updates. It’d be a place where we share our favorite songs, our favorite videos, gifs, icons, scans, amvs, remixes, you name it. A place we can actually have discussions. Whether it’s just 5, 100, or 1000 of us.

I’d love if everybody could answer the survey I created. Comments are appreciated, too. Name and email are not required to leave a comment on my blog! The more answers I get, the more I can gauge interest in this.

Remember, the community would include EVERYTHING fripSide!!
