The ultimate collection of fripSide music is about to be released! It's title nao complete anthology 2002-2009 -my graduation-!! You can view the complete tracklist of 105 songs spanning across 10 discs here. It's including every song ever released by fripSide, all digitally remastered, with all those hard-to-find masterpieces, and even the forever- anticipated "my graduation"! Some interesting songs in the tracklist I found were: Red Data Girl/fripSide NAO project!, my graduation, and colorless fate -erica 2007-.
The boxset costs 19,740¥ with tax included! That's about $205 US! It will be available in store on July 17, 2009. Unfortunately, this box set is limited edition and will only have one pressing. The boxset is also counted as doujin goods so they will not be available outside of Japan.
This release officially signifies the end of fripSide's first phase.
fripSide feat. Rita!

Frill is coming out with a new game soon, and who better to perform its theme song than fripSide! The song title? spiral of despair -resurrection-. Hmm, I could swear I knew of a song with a similar title. Well, what's the game's name? Chikan Senyou Sharyou 2 (痴漢専用車輌2). No wonder the song's title is so familiar! The game is a sequel to Frill's 2007 debut Chikan Senyou Sharyou!
Since nao left fripSide last month, that has left fripSide without a vocalist. However, this new song will be a collaboration with Rita! Rita might be a familiar name to fripSide fans, as she was a guest at fripSide's Tokyo split tears concert and has been mentioned a few times on Satoshi's blog. Sat mentioned his blog update that this has been a dream collab of his and it's finally come true! It needs to be said that this is a collaboration; Rita is not the new vocalist of fripSide.
If you haven't stumbled upon the song on Frill's site, you can listen to it in the demo movie. Just be warned there is a lot of erotic content in the video. The only thing "spiral of despair -resurrection-" shares with its predeccesor is the title. "resurrection" still holds that signature fripSide sound, but has a great, fresh arrangement. While Rita mentioned that the song was difficult to sing because it was out of her range, her voice still sounds beautiful in this song.

I've been updating the lyrics page a lot this week, because, in short, I think it's finally time to complete it! As a result, I've been working at romaji lyrics all week with a few translations here and there. I've also decided to add the original Japanese lyrics on the page as well, since coming across any is extremely rare.
However, I have a request! I need Japanese lyrics (NOT romaji, they would be nice but I much prefer/need original Japanese) for the following songs:

Credit is always given for someone else's work.
A New Beginning

This month marks the end of 7 great years of musical collaboration between music producer Satoshi Yaginuma and vocalist nao.
Today, a farewell note was posted on the fripSide Official site. nao has decided to leave fripSide and pursue her own activities. Satoshi has also blogged about this decision. The big reason for this decision is difference in musical goals; they each have a different direction they want to go in. nao will be pursuing her own music career.
But this isn't the end to fripSide! fripSide is in the midst of changes and will be reborn anew. [The Next Project] will be coming soon, so make sure to check fripSide regularly for a new update.
nao and sat made a lot of wonderful music together. She will surely be missed by all fans. Thank you for all your hardwork and dedication, nao!
