only my radiogun Recent Guests

For anyone who listens to only my radiogun weekly, ELISA will be the guest this week! Last week’s guest was KOTOKO. Meant to make a note of that somewhere, but I forgot. I’m not sure I’ll ever get to a page with radio summaries. If you want to listen, it plays every Friday at 9:30PM JST on A&G Digital radio. For me, that’s every Friday at 8:30AM EST. This page tells you how to listen to A&G radio whether you want to check out only my radiogun or any other radio shows they have! I use Windows Media Player and this URL to stream.

I’m not familiar with most of the guests fripSide has talked with. I do recognize KOTOKO and ELISA though. Not familiar with their music so maybe I should look them up. I just looked at ELISA’s site and I love the song preview of “Real Force.”

And yes, I am working on this ugly layout. It’s never been my strength so the work is very slow =(

Can’t believe July will be here in less than 2 hours! 2010 is going by so fast.

New Theme Song!

fripSide has been chosen to perform the opening song of a To Aru Kagaku no Railgun OVA! Of course, the best, and obvious, choice. No other details otherwise. The Nanjo and Sat duo have already given us two amazing songs tied in with this series, so I’m seriously looking forward to the third. I wonder if this will become the third single as well?

MyCom MUSIC JAPAN Report + Photos

MyCom has posted a short interview with all the artists before the performances started, and has even included a few awesome photos of performances.

MyCom: Report | Performance Photos

In the report, Nanjo said that up until last summer, her work really only included voice acting, and she never really did live singing performances. She was very nervous for her appearance on SP. 3, but after getting to the hall and seeing all of the fans, she really enjoyed herself. Sat said he wants to perform at his best, with all of his might.

During their performance, Nanjo asked, “what is everyone’s level today?” and sat answered, “you are all LEVEL6!”

Edit: An awesome gallery and similar report here at MoCa

リスアニ! Vol.01

I recently made a once-in-a-lifetime purchase: I bought an anime-related magazine. When the new Sony Magazine リスアニ! Listen to Animated Music! promoted a large feature with fripSide, they were not kidding! Twelve pages are completely dedicated to the band. I love reading behind-the-scenes stuff, so naturally I had to buy this one (at least the magazine is about music :P ). There is a ton of text accompanied by black and white pictures (sadly). First in the feature is a long interview with Yoshino Nanjo and sat, and the second part is a long interview with Sat about his studio and himself. Two screencaps make note of the magician in “only my railgun” and “LEVEL5-judgelight-” (Magus Shinji). There are photos of sat working at his studio, then a full picture of all the synthesizers, keyboards, and other equipment. He even gave us a list of five albums he recommends under a section called only my roots music!!!!!.

Anyway, if any of you watch a lot of anime and like many of the songs, this magazine is definitely worth it. A ton of interviews, lists, photos, etc. Not all of the sections are in black and white. The song “DROP” on the included CD isn’t bad either.

Also, June 7, four days from now, fripSide will be performing for their first televised live!! This is not a normal broadcast of MUSIC JAPAN, but rather their 3rd Anime Song special. I’m not sure if this will be broadcast the same day or at a later date, but the performance will be on 6/07.
