nao 2nd single 「流星のビヴロスト」

I think this warrants its own post, right? Yeah I think so. I’ve made a lot of posts in the past few days. I’d scroll down if you haven’t visited lately~

nao is releasing her 2nd solo single with songs “流星のビヴロスト” and “sincerely”, coming out on 8/25. It will even come with a music clip of sincerely – DVD~! I think nao has changed her image this release because on her twitter and news articles, she has really cute black hair. The front and back covers are supposed to be characters from each game the songs are from. You can preorder from Amazon.jp and Play-Asia, so far.

8/1: Anison SP 3 & some awesome covers

Finally, this Sunday 6:10pm JST, Music Japan’s Anison SP 3 will air! One of fripSide’s performances, “only my railgun” will be in this broadcast. Don’t know if “LEVEL5-judgelight-” will make it on air since it’s not listed, but…only my railgun! ~only my railgun can shoot it~

Music Japan’s home page has the official details plus the list of performances this week. According to the MJ blog, looks like they might only appear this week.

I hope more lives will come in the future!

Speaking of older singles, I found a gorgeous piano cover of “only my railgun” and fan MIDI orchestra versions of “LEVEL5-judgelight” and “only my railgun”.  LEVEL5 orchestra version was originally from nico video and railgun was from nico video too. Pretty impressive arrangements, I must say

New Single: future gazer

An official announcement on the official Toaru Kagaku no Railgun site was made! 8 months after releasing LEVEL5-judgelight-, fripSide will finally release their 3rd single.

omg theme song preview

The title of the new song is “fortissimo – the ultimate crisis” and was just played on Radio Rondorobe – only my radiogun! It really is something!! It has this very interesting chorus, and overall a fast-paced melody. It’s arranged similar to the  Railgun theme songs. But, this is actually the theme song to a game called Fortissimo//Akkord:Bsusvier. I loved the mini preview they gave us, Nanjo’s voice is really beautiful.

The new single is already up for pre-order on CDJapan! It will include “fortissimo – the ultimate crisis” and the Railgun theme song. I can’t wait for more official details, it will be another autumn single.

Also, 9/26, fripSide will be performing at Dengeki Geneon Music Festival.

Kanojotachi no Ryuugi OST Liner Notes: nao

Here are nao’s notes from the Kanogi OST. She explained her feelings about Red-reduction division-, and how working with the world of Kanogi led to her growth as an artist. At this point in her career, I think she still felt she was growing into the artist she wanted to be.

I remember before I thought about translating these, I sought out an in-depth summary of  Tobari’s story. I really wanted to know how Red-reduction division- connected to the visual novel. I found some very… interesting things, to say the least (it is not labeled an adult video game for nothing). But, it was nice to know the roots of the song I love so much. Why fripSide chose the words they did. In the end, I understood the lyrics better. I think nao’s notes here shed some meaning on the song without giving away the story.

As for other translations, I’m slowly working on them, like the LisAni interview from April and sat’s Kanogi notes. Also, working on the layout. I have something I like, I just need header.

On to the translation!

Animelo Theme Song

This is sort of old news, oh well. The theme song for this year’s Animelo concert is “evolution ~for beloved one~”, sung by all the artists participating this year. That means Miss Nanjo is featured in this song as well. It’s a really cheesy-sounding song in my opinion. I really like the harmony of everyone in the chorus though. For anyone wondering when Nanjo sings, I’m fairly certain she starts at 5:25 in the last chorus. If not, well then, I have really bad ears… Also, I found the lyrics and a translation here by Atashi.

If anyone can tell me who the first male singing is, I would love to know! What an amazing voice.
