Mini interview about Hayate theme song with Sat and Nanjo

Translated from Jpop Culture.

Q. How did you feel when you discussed the theme song of Hayate no Gotoku!?

Yaginuma: I knew of it before we ever discussed it, it’s one of my favorite works so I’m very happy.
Nanjo: It’s really popular so I felt really grateful to do this, and this is my first time participating in a movie-anything and I’m looking forward to how my voice will sound on the big screen.

Q. What approach did you take when it came to the music?

Yaginuma: I have all the comics, the whole collection, so I went through, read them all again, refreshed my memory on all story elements. In addition, summer came up when talking about the movie so I created with images of summer in mind.

Q. Nanjo, what was your first impression of the song?

Nanjo: I thought it was really refreshing, young, a sparkly-happy kind of feeling.

Q. What did you pay close attention to while recording?

Nanjo: Most songs, till now, have had a relatively intense, battle-like mood going on, but this time, I sang smiling while invoking my first impressions of young ‘n happy.

Q. How did the finished product come out?

Yaginuma: I think I made a great song!
Nanjo: It turned out to be a very invigorating song. I look forward to how it’ll be used in the theatre.

Q. Lastly, please give your fans a message.

Yaginuma: I’ll feel really happy if even just one fan is affected by Hayate no Gotoku!. For me, it’s Hinagiku. Thank you for your support.
Nanjo: The song is really refreshing and vibrant this time, so I think you’ll definitely enjoy it along with the movie.
And fripSide’s video is, again, very interesting, so make sure to watch it!

Update on LisAni Auditions feat. Sat

Back in the spring, the magazine dedicated to anime songs, Lis-Ani, was holding auditions with Sat to find a new, refreshing singer to market and debut. The original plan was for the winner to debut this August before all the delays. The first round of auditions is finally over. The second round with the 14 female finalists is scheduled to be held sometime in September. 327 females applied in total.

For the second round, each female must sing half of a 2nd gen fripSide song and another anime song of their choice on stage for judges.

The prize includes a new singing career with their debut produced by Satoshi Yaginuma and 300,000 yen.

LiveJournal community

I just made a community on LiveJournal for fripSide

The really great thing about it is that anyone with a LiveJournal account, OpenID, Facebook, Twitter, and Google account (I’m sure a few others) can join, post entries, and comment! I noticed that fripfans don’t really have an established community anywhere; we’re all pretty scattered out. This way, we can all have a place to talk and share

So, you should all go join only my fripSide, then spread the word and tell your friends♡
