This interview is not perfect word-for-word translation, however
it does get the general idea of the answers across and is still
good as a resource.

The generals are all girls!?
fripSide makes their major debut with the Love Princess†Musou theme
song
When
it was decided fripSide would do the opening theme to Koihime†Musou,
how did you feel about it by a singing standpoint?
nao: Although it's ordinary [to do theme songs,
this time] I was delighted (smile). At first, I was conscious of
the importance of the theme song. My image of the "Flower"
of "Flower of Bravery" isn't an actual flower, but it
compares to the girls who fight in the anime. I sing about those
girls. I really wanted to express that even a strong heart is sometimes
likely to break.
And how was the planning the arrangement of the song?
sat: After receiving the music fromm Chiyomaru Shikura it was best
to arrange it in fripSide's usual taste. I also used the sound of
a China flute which I have never used before to express the world
view of "The Three Kingdoms."
What do you think about the lyrics and composition of Chiyomaru
Shikura?
nao: I am in nothing but love with the lyrics. My imagination grew
well as I asked myself "If I sing it like this, will it be
good?", so it was very easy to sing.
sat: In Shikura's music, I got the impression of our own taste in
the music. He studied our music through our recent theme songs,
so I think he made it that way so it was very easy to sing. Although
I also do lyrics and composition, these words are not written by
me. I think that it's wonderful.
What are your impressions of the anime Koihime†Musou?
nao: Since I like the idea of girls fighting, I definitely like
the feeling of the world.
sat: Although I watch Koihime†Musou after working
on it, my first impression was "What is this?!" (laughs).
I thought that it was a very interesting set-up, an anime where
all the heroines are generals.
Although the music is denpa*, the ending music "Yappari
Sekai wa Atashi☆Legend!!" is Sat's composition and nao's lyrics
nao: I also like singing denpa songs. The ending is a feeling overcome
with rules. The impression of nonsense in the title comes out because
words truly match the song's name. I was able to have fun recording
this song.
sat: Since I have had orders for denpa music, I think reaching the
maximum limit to do denpa music is now possible (smile). But because
it's necessary for such music to have higher tension as well as
singing, at the time when Nao's engine has started*, I am exhausted
(laughs). This time, it took about three hours to record.
*when she finally starts singing
*Denpa describes the genre of music with high-pitched female vocals
with happy, cute electronic music. fripSide NAO project! is considered
a denpa group.
Please give a message to the fans.
nao: To our older fans who give us your support. We were able to
come so far because of your assistance, so I want to say "thank
you." Also, I enjoy meeting new fans at lives and such. We
appreciate your support in the future.
sat: To our older fans, I think that this is good news. I have more
people listening to our music, which I think is good that more people
who sympathize with the music that we make is increasing, even if
just a little bit. Please support us.
