summer livesI was browsing Senakablog today and found an interesting entry I missed from way back. It's an entry from 9/02/2008 detailing one of the lives fripSide did for "flower of bravery" and "Yappari." I also have another link from My ComJournal about a separate live as well. Both have some great photos! At both lives, they did a talk session and also promoted split tears. Since fripSide performances are a rare treat, I thought everyone would enjoy these photographs.

Areas Theme Song + BGMI have a very exciting update for today! A short version of fripSide's theme song for Lapis Lazuli's Areas～空に映すキミとのセカイ～ is out and so are a few BGM samples! "grand blue" is the name of the theme song. The BGM samples, which are also done by fripSide, are called "and up step!," "焼きたての香りに誘われて" (Invite by a Fresh Baked Scent), "静かな朝の音" (Sounds of a Quiet Morning), "silent areas," "critical break," and "せつ子の部屋" (Setsuko's Room). You can download all those samples at the Areas ~sora ni utsusu kimi to no sekai~ download page. This site is 18+. I think all of the songs are very well done. It's very hard to choose a favorite from these samples.
I also uploaded some new lyrics. They include romanized "Yappari Sekai wa Atashi☆Legend!!," "save me again," and "praying over." "Yappari" and "save me again" were romanized by Inoue Ayumi.

Remix Album PreviewThere is a preview video up at fripSide's official page with sample clips from RE:product mixes ver.0.1. I must say, I love the house feel of "an evening calm" and the light trance of "vanity destroyer." This remix album will be awesome.
fripSide will also have a new song included on Lillian's Radio Twinkle☆Crusaders Vol. 03 called "trust in you."

first fripSide remix cd, new songsfripSide will be releasing their first remix cd on December 30, titled RE:product mixes ver.0.1. This cd will only be sold at Comiket 75. fripSide will also be doing a meet & greet at the event on 12/30 from 1pm-2pm. You can check the official page for tracklist info! Remixed tracks include fripSide's most popular songs.
There are also two new songs from fripSide to be included in Whirlpool's newest work, Merry☆Christmas (メリ☆クリ). It will include the opening song "holy night magic" and the ending song "a little christmas time." The single for these songs will also be available at Comiket 75. You can listen to a short version of "holy night magic" at the Merry☆Christmas download page.
Also, a little old news, but fripSide NAO project's new song, "every day⇔every way！", is the ending theme to Studio Ryokucha's Katakoi no Tsuki Extra (片恋いの月えくすとら).

"promise" + 5pb LivefripSide has finally announced their work for ALcot's newest release Engage Links. The song is called "promise" and it is the game's ending theme.
In November, fripSide will be attending Live 5pb. 2008 on the 22nd.

a little busy...Just wanted to let you guys know I'm still around!! I've been pretty busy lately, so I don't have any new translations for you guys. There isn't much fripSide news right now. They attended Dream Party 2008 Autumn on 10/12. I also put up the setlist of fripSide's split tears live on fripSide LIVE.
I hope everyone is enjoying their copy of split tears still! =)

Also, on YouTube the Visual Arts channel put up a video called "fripSide New Album split tears Artist Message." I also uploaded romaji and a translation for "escape."

Game Work UpdateFor those fripSide fans who love Japan's adult video games, fripSide's work is featured in some upcoming releases. I've tried to consolidate everything into this post. These game sites are 18+ only, you have been warned!
Lapis lazuli's new game Areas is in-progress. According to the official site, fripSide will be in charge of not only the theme songs, but also the background music! Satoshi is listed as the chief music producer. A special Lapis Lazuli event will take place at the UDX Theater on August 29 and fripSide is one of the special guests attending.
Studio Ryokucha's new Katakoi no Tsuki: Extra will come with a special vocal CD for those who pre-order. The vocal CD includes the original opening song "refrain moon" by UR@N and the original background music to "split tears" by our one and only fripSide. Studio Ryokucha's new work will be released on September 26.
Finally, another fripSide song will be making its way into ALcot's upcoming release Engage Links. So far, they are only listed under the music section. This release comes out on October 24. Thanks to Zenigame for this information!
Black Cyc's Before Dawn Daybreak ~ Songstress of the Abyss~ also comes out on October 24. The theme song, "before dawn daybreak," is fripSide's work and also the opening track to split tears. There is a short version of "before dawn daybreak" at the official game site.
fripSide NAO project!'s song "Wireless Cosmic" was featured on RADIO Twinkle☆Crusaders Vol. 01, along with a "Wireless Cosmic" instrumental. fripSide is going to be on two more Twinkle☆Crusaders. RADIO Twinkle☆Crusaders Vol. 02 has "sequential summer" and its instrumental, and Twinkle☆Crusaders Sparkling Soundstage #05 includes "twinkle days" and its instrumental. Both songs are not sung by fripSide's nao, but by four other vocalists (two different ones for each song).August 11, 2008
NEW TRACK ADDED TO SPLIT TEARSfripSide's upcoming album split tears will drop in mid-September. The album originally had 10 tracks, but now a new one has been added called "escape-version 2008-." One can only speculate about this track as it's an original album track, but why -version 2008-?. Is it possible this is an old demo song brought up to date? I think fripSide will once again have the best album of the year (in my opinion!).
Speaking of split tears, the Tokyo 9/15 live at studio cube 326 is already sold out and tickets went on sale today! Congratulations!

"before dawn daybreak" SampleA short version of "before dawn daybreak" was released on Black Cyc's Before Dawn Daybreak Official site on July 30 (how did I miss that? It was even announced on fripSide's site D= ). For those who might have missed it for some reason like I did, the page is linked here. The short version romaji and translation lyrics are up as well.
If this is the opening song of split tears, this album is going to be good. "before dawn daybreak" is already my favorite song from the ones I've heard so far!

fripSide Live 2008The lives Satoshi talked about in his blog finally have official details! On September 15 and 19, fripSide x fripSide NAO Project! will be hitting Tokyo's studio cube 326 and Osaka's The LIVE HOUSE soma respectively. Special guest Rita will be joining fripSide's Tokyo show. There are plans for some fripSide goods to be sold prior to each concert at 3pm. Each show will start at about 6pm and end around 9pm. Tickets go on sale August 11.
