I made a mistake with this, sorry!! It sounded a lot like the Last Fortune preview we got so that’s what I originally wrote, plus the broadcast never gave a name for this last song

Yup, one nao song made it on there and it’s yet another remake of Colorless fate. I *think* the vocals were re-recorded. Those who are wishing for a fresh aggressive track from fripSide will fall in love with  new song aliss in losso. This is no cutesy song. The beginning was a little reminiscent of Red-reduction division- in terms of surprise but by no means anything like it, if that makes sense. I’m surprised to see Triptych on there. I spent a lot of time replaying that one and did not expect to ever see it on here since Sat was only responsible for its arrangement. Also surprised that star carnival is basically a fripSide work with a different vocalist, much like past songs used for Twinkle☆Crusaders. Over the moon about spiral of despair-resurrection-!!!! Who’s with me?!?!

Whoever does Nanjolno’s make-up is amazing. I always love the little details they do for her eyes!! The single also comes with a bonus poster and we finally get a peak at it. Poster is only for those who pre-order in-store only. No mail orders or online orders get this. Honestly? I’d only be mad if fripSide were actually on it.

Still no preview for way to answer and no news on the new Fortissimo song we are supposed to be getting.

nao 3rd single!

nao will be releasing her 3rd single on 12/22/2010 called ぱすてるチャイム/ふぁ～すと∞いんぷれっしょん. Both songs are from the upcoming PSP RPG ぱすてるチャイムContinue (Pastel Chime Continue). The two songs translate as Pastel Chime (ぱすてるチャイム) and First∞Impression (ふぁ～すと∞いんぷれっしょん). First∞Impression is credited as バンビ・アイ (Bambi Ai?) feat. nao. The single will also come with a video of Pastel Chime and there will be a first press pre-order bonus of a B2 poster (!!!) with two different sides: one with nao and Bambi Ai and another with a game illustration. By the way, I can’t seem to find any information about this idol.

nao & DystopiaGround

fripSide’s first vocalist, nao, graduated from fripSide March 15, 2009 to begin her own music career. fripSide staff veterans Kenji Arai, aka Araken, and Shinichiro Yamashita joined her as well (I don’t think they collaborate with fripSide anymore). nao has started her own career as simply nao and also participates as the vocalist of doujin music group DystopiaGround. Her last name remains unknown and she goes by the nickname naosun as well as just nao.

I decided that making a summary of  DystopiaGround and solo work would be easiest using the format she has going at her own blog. I hope I didn’t miss anything. This is a huge post so it’s under a cut. Translation corrections and other additions are always welcome. By the way, she posts a lot of event and cute photos on her blog, so check it out =D

A New Beginning

This month marks the end of 7 great years of musical collaboration between music producer Satoshi Yaginuma and vocalist nao.

Today, a farewell note was posted on the fripSide Official site. nao has decided to leave fripSide and pursue her own activities. Satoshi has also blogged about this decision. The big reason for this decision is difference in musical goals; they each have a different direction they want to go in. nao will be pursuing her own music career.

But this isn’t the end to fripSide! fripSide is in the midst of changes and will be reborn anew. [The Next Project] will be coming soon, so make sure to check fripSide regularly for a new update.

nao and sat made a lot of wonderful music together. She will surely be missed by all fans. Thank you for all your hardwork and dedication, nao!
