fripSide gets first #1 weekly!

Who else is excited?! Oricon and fripSide’s official site announced that fripSide has officially scored their first #1 weekly on Oricon’s chart! sister’s noise has stayed in the top 2 every day since release.

Week 01　5/14 – 5/20 　#1　　27,275

The DVD version of fripSide 10th Anniversary Live in Tokyo sold 565 copies and charted at #22 for its first week. However, more fans went for the Blu-ray version as it sold 1,808, more than three times the DVD! The BD ranked #2 on Oricon’s weekly Blu-ray chart. Not bad for their first concert release.

fripSide also topped SoundScan charts this week with sister’s noise. The CD+DVD version between May 6 and May 12 sold 23,865 copies and the CD-only version sold 3,406 copies.

I feel so happy for fripSide! Congratulations!

PC Game Compilation official release date

fripSide’s upcoming compilation album finally has some official information!! A notice was posted by someone at RSK today and this line piqued my interest:

Participation by guest vocalists

Reservations begin 11.11.11 and the album goes on sale Jan 1, 2012. My guess is that it will be another “ships in Japan only” deal so prepare to pay extra for a middleman service.

m.o.v.e to cover fripSide’s only my railgun

m.o.v.e is releasing the third volume in their anim.o.v.e series where the group covers songs of anime. anim.o.v.e 03, set for release on Sept 7, will include their own eurobeat dance cover of only my railgun!

You can listen to the preview on the album’s page. Sounds like there’s going to be at least some insert raps! Looking forward to that~. I like their arrangement, but I’m not sure how I feel about Yuri’s vocals on this one

fripSide Animelo Shirts & Towel

Animelo site revealed the artist goods for this year and fripSide has 3 different shirts (1 design from last year) and 2 towels. Like most fripGoods, these carry a techno/binary/computer chip theme. This year’s little animal is a mini lizard (last year at the infinite synthesis concert, some of the goods had a butterfly).

Can see them all here.

The lizard is awfully adorable~ what do you think? Haven’t looked to see if there’s a place to purchase them anywhere but the concert venue.

4th single on its way♡

Includes the usual CD+DVD limited package as well as CD-only version.
One of the confirmed songs will be the theme for the movie of Hayate no Gotoku! Heaven is a Place on Earth. The movie hits theatres August 27.

fripSide’s also in charge of the theme for the OVA of Ah! My Goddess, vol. 43. Title to be announced. That goes on sale 9.22.2011. No mention of this song being on the single.
